The Four Seasons Barn at The Highlands Estate is a modern-yet-rustic climate-controlled event space set on 21 private acres in the Yorkville Highlands — designed for celebrations in any season, in any weather.
Barn weddings have captured the imagination of couples for generations — rooted in the agrarian communities of rural America and Europe, where barns were central to community life and natural gathering places for celebration. The rustic setting, exposed beams, and earthy warmth of a barn evoke a sense of nostalgia and simplicity that resonates deeply with couples who want their wedding to feel meaningful rather than manufactured.
California wine country is home to some of the most beautiful barn wedding venues in the country — and The Highlands Estate's Four Seasons Barn stands apart as one of the most complete, combining rustic character with modern comfort at elevation in the Yorkville Highlands.
Nestled in the Yorkville Highlands Valley, the Four Seasons Barn at The Highlands Estate is the centerpiece of a 21-acre private wine country estate. The barn's design seamlessly blends rustic elements — earthy tones, draped ceilings — with modern features like full climate control, an acoustically tuned sound system, and six wagon wheel chandeliers.
The result is a space that feels complete the moment your guests walk in. A genuine barn, thoughtfully finished and ready for celebrations of up to 200 guests.
The Highlands Estate is situated on over 21 country acres, offering a multitude of vistas and photo opportunities. The picturesque grounds include acres of Syrah vineyards, an iconic old-growth oak tree, rolling hills, a tranquil pond, and incredible rock formations — creating a stunning backdrop that extends far beyond the barn itself.
Many couples use the Four Seasons Barn for their reception while choosing one of the outdoor ceremony sites — the ancient oak tree set among the Syrah vines, or the shaded arbor overlooking the valley. Others hold their ceremony and reception entirely within the barn, particularly for winter weddings or summer afternoons when climate control is welcome.
The outdoor terrace — just steps from the barn's main doors — provides additional space for cocktail hour, dining under the stars, or a first dance beneath the market lights. Every combination works. The property is designed for it.
